Vedic Maths #01: Complement method - Subtraction from 100/1000/10000

This is the easiest of all the methods. Subtracting a number from 100 or 1000 or 10000 etc.. Regular method involves taking a lot of borrow.

E.g
10000 - 6384
In above example 3616 is called as 10's complement number of 6384. Below is very easy method suggested in Vedic Maths to find the 10's complement.

10's Complement of a number is obtained by subtracting all the digits by 9 and last digit (unit place by 10).
Following Vedic Maths complement method.

This method looks so obvious such that most of us would be already using it. This method can be easily carried out in mind and answer can be visualized. It is one step into borrow method of subtraction that we generally use. Reason for me writing this article is for readers to get accustomed to word 10's complement. Sometimes 10's complement is just referred to as complement of a number. Same can be extended to when subtracting from 100, 1000, etc.
